On consignment at REV is a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air that has been owned by the consignor for over 20 years! He has spent the last 15 years restoring the vehicle from the ground up. He has upgraded some of the factory drivetrain in order to be more comfortable as a driver. The original transmission has been upgraded to a 700R4 GM overdrive automatic transmission, which shifts butter smooth and cruises wonderfully on the interstate. The original V8 engine has been swapped out for a Chevrolet 350 small block V8, equipped with a 4-barrel Edelbrock carburetor. The car also has an electric fuel pump added, in replacement of the mechanical pump. Manual steering and brakes, with drum brakes on all four wheels. The wheels are GM Rallye wheels, with 3 bar spinner caps. A Rhinehart exhaust system was installed for a wonderful low burble engine note. The exterior of the vehicle could be best described as driver quality, however the vehicle could certainly be proudly demonstrated at car shows. The paint job was completed almost 10 years ago, and was sprayed well and professionally with only a couple minor imperfections in certain areas. The chrome bumpers were replaced as well and appear as new!
