REV is pleased to offer this gorgeous, 1968 Plymouth Sport Fury on consignment by it's second owner since new. The car comes with documentation dating back to when it was brand new, including lots of maintenance records. It received a repaint just a few years ago, the shade is a little bit more of a "mint" color than the factory green color. It was professionally sprayed, and has very few flaws. It is on the upper end of driver quality, and could easily be a considered a show quality paint job by the average Joe. The convertible top was replaced as well, along with the carpet. Both look brand new! The chrome bumpers appear to be original, showing slight flaws in the form of light pitting and a couple scuffs on the rear bumper. The body lines are laser-straight, with all panel gaps even and flush. The sheet metal is flat, with no discernible waviness. The interior still retains the factory white leather upholstery, with the bucket seats and the fold down armrest. This car was not equipped from the factory with the center console shifter, it is mounted to the steering column. The original 8-Track player is still installed, but is not operational unfortunately. The car will come with a 8-track tape of the "Bay City Rollers", for decoration. All gauges work properly, as well as all electronics with the exception of the radio. The car still retains the original 383 cubic inch V8, and is a factory "H" code 4-bbl High Performance with 330 horsepower! Factory power steering and brakes as well. The 727 TF automatic transmission shifts butter smooth, and the brakes grab very well and stop in a straight line. A new power steering pump has been installed since the photos were taken, as the old one developed a leak. Very few Sport Fury convertibles were ever made, and even fewer had the 383 Commando with the 4-bbl. The engine performs beautifully, and is quiet, and tight. No rattles, valve-train noise, exhaust leaks, or any smoke from burning oil or running rich. It is 100% factory with no aftermarket modifications from how it came from Mopar in 1968. The original wheels are wrapped in radial tires which are older and a testament to the car's condition and age. It has been garage kept all it's life, and it shows! The undercarriage is clean, and rust free, which is rare for an un-restored convertible. The data plate is still present under the hood, with all the build specs as you might expect from such a well documented, original car. This is a highly collectible example, and one you could be proud to drive to a car show, or cruise on a nice sunny day! Call, email, or text us today to find out how you can add it to your garage!
