REV is pleased to offer this very clean example of one of the most desirable muscle cars in history. This 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee is mechanically and cosmetically restored, and sports a very special engine. While it was originally equipped with a 383 V8, this example was upgraded in 2002 with a totally rebuilt and tastefully modified 426cid Hemi V8. Paperwork of every detail of the engine, including the crank, connecting rods, pistons, camshafts, springs, lift, duration, etc are available upon request. It sports an aggressive street cam, longtube headers, and a full exhaust. The consigning owner claims it was dyno tested at 530 horsepower at the crank, when built. It has been driven very little over the last 18 years, and always kept indoors and out of the weather. The transmission is a 4-speed, which was the original equipment for this car. Putting the power to the ground is effortless, thanks to a Dana 60 rear axle with lock-rite locker and a 3.56 gear. It is also very easy to drive, with power steering and front disc brakes. There is a folder full of receipts and invoices for the work completed on the car over the last 30+ years, even every auto parts store receipt was kept! The Dark Blue Metallic paint is overall in great shape, with very minor flaws. There is a white vinyl top, with a small area of separation on the bottom seam on the driver's side where it meets the rear quarter panel. Some age can be seen in the 'Super Bee' vinyl on the hood, in the form of light discoloration and a minor split. The chrome bumpers are both very presentable, with minimal age and no rust. The undercarriage is free of rust, and shows minimal age. Moving into the interior the first thing you notice is the color. This example was ordered with the very rare and desirable blue vinyl, and with the optional bucket seats. The traditional 'pistol grip' Mopar shift knob sits atop the Hurst shifter. The condition of the interior is also very nice for the age, with clean carpet, seats, headliner, and a new dash and front door panels. Photos will be made available soon, we are working on finishing a complete paint correction and detail. Please call or text us at 828-202-3650 for more details or to schedule a viewing appointment.
