Description

REV is pleased to offer this gorgeous restored 1981 Jeep CJ-7. It has desirable options which include power steering, power brakes with discs in front, and a 4-speed manual gearbox. It is finished in a stunning emerald green metallic paint, with a black vinyl interior and new black carpeting throughout. Pretty much from top to bottom, you won't find a single part that has not been upgraded or replaced. It retains the original 4.2L inline 6 engine, which according to the previous owner underwent a top-end rebuild within the last couple years. The transmission and transfer case were also reportedly rebuilt not long ago, and make this Jeep feel wonderful to drive down the road. The transfer case now sports a twin-stick shifter for use of 2WD in low range and easy maneuvering between 2WD and 4WD. Additionally, new 33" tires wrap around aluminum offroad wheels which are suspended by Rancho shock absorbers--giving this Jeep a nice lift over the factory ride height. Throughout the interior and exterior you will find chrome accents, which are a complimentary touch to the brilliant shine of the metallic emerald paint. The interior sports a tilt column steering wheel, new gauges, and a Kenwood bluetooth stereo w/ hands-free calling. In addition to the soft doors, we do also have a set of color matched metal half-doors which will come with the truck. The headlamps and taillights are LED, and produce an extraordinary amount of visibility at night. The soft top is new as well, and is a Bestop folding unit for easy and swift removal. As with most Jeeps from this era, this particular example is not free from rust. It has bondo in the body panels, particularly in the rocker panels and above the wheel wells. The bondo is starting to show through the paint in the form of cracking on the driver's side rocker, which is evident in the photos. The floor pans are all solid, with no rust holes presently, as they have been repaired in the past. The frame is solid as well, with no welded patching or structural issues to be found. Overall, if you are looking for a very presentable driver with all the conveniences of a more modern Jeep, you will be very pleased. Should you have any questions, or would like to schedule an appointment, please call or text us at 828-202-3650.
